| Lead Tig Welder responsibility includes the overall day-to-day supervision. Responsibilities include: directing personnel; scheduling and sequencing the day to day activities of work; interfacing with Supervisor; overseeing individual projects to assure compliance with the scope and quality as established by the shop drawings; enforcement of shop cleanliness, safety, health, and substance abuse programs; proactively anticipating and solving problems that could delay project; maintaining Quality Control standards; and attending and conducting regularly scheduled progress meetings. This individual will perform welding of stainless steel and mild metal objects using a gas torch or arc welder using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. Duties include: planning, producing, and reconstructing articles of various metals and alloys. Using hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for certain projects.
